Etude House Color Me Nude & Gradient Lips tutorial

Hi there !
I'm still as eager as always to post my review everytime !

So recently there's this very In-thing among the koreans
called the " Gradient Lips " or they call it " Bitten lips " too.
which looks somehow like the pictures below ( Not mine )

O M G Isn't it gorgeous?!?
I fell in love almost immediately.
And so I went youtube and watched some videos .
Some people make it so complicated with sooooo many layers to apply.
Oh come on !
 I'm telling you now,
All you need is 3 simple steps.

But before we start,
there's one thing that is very important to make the gradient lips a success
which is a Lip Concealer !
So what I'll be reviewing today will be the Color Me Nude from Etude House.

Etude House Color Me Nude

What is a lip concealer ? Why do I need it?

Basically a lip concealer is like a cream to cover up your natural lip colour
in order to really bring out the colour of your lipstick.
Or some girls like nude lips
so they can just wear this and coat it with a gloss and they're ready to go.
( I once wore just the lip concealer out and my friend thought I was sick because I looked so pale lol )

The funny thing is that I actually bought this product like 4 years ago
and I used to really hate it ( due to wrong application and I really didn't now when to use it)
And only now I'm starting to fall in love with it.
Anyway I got it for about less than RM20 if I'm not mistaken ???

Alright let's get started first.

The bare lips ( with lip balm applied )

Very lightly dap the lip concealer onto your lips . Then , blend it with your fingers ( this is super important )

Done. You can see that the coverage is pretty good.

Okay now proceeding to the tutorial of the Gradient lips.
I'm gonne be using the Tony Molly Water Jelly Lip Tint in Pomegranate.
( This was like the first product I did a review on on my blog.
If you wanna read it, scroll down to the bottom on the side bar on your left ! )

And using this ....

Dap only on the inner part of your upper and lower lips.

Then blend it with your fingers.

Alright you're almost done ! Now add a coat of clear gloss and you're done !

Remember to use a clear gloss.
DONE ! As simple as that .

I am madly in love with this gradient lips thingy, it's like a freaking genius.

Pros :

Color Me Nude has a very creamy consistency ,
making it easy to apply.

No frangance.

Good coverage.

One tiny lip concealer can last you a veeeeeery time long
because you don't need to apply alot of them each time.
So I guess it's a good investment.

Cons :

Might be drying to the lips.

Will sink into the lip lines
and it can look so so so ugly.
That's why it's so important to just dap a small amout on your lips
and blend it with fingers instead of swipping it on like a normal lipstick.
Oh, lip balm prior to it is a must too !

Would I repurchase?

It's a good product , but I guess I won't because I'd want to try something new (:

Hope you've learnt something new today. Good luck (:

Benefit's Cheek and Lips tint: Posietint

I've got my very first benefit cosmetic !!!

So , I went KL last week ( One Utama) and I saw a Benefit shop !
I immediately went berserk and I dragged my bf into the shop .
I was very welcomed by a young lady who was asking me what I was looking for.

Actually I had no idea .
I just saw on the Internet before that quite alot of people say that Benefit is famous for its blush !

Then this girl introduced me the Benefit Cheek and Lip tint
I was in a dilemma to choose between the Benetint ( redder ) and Posietint ( pinker) .
She gave me a test on the back of my palm and also my lips.
After much hesitation , I finally decided on Posietint as pink is nicer for my fair complexion .

Besides, the sales girl recommended me their star product which is their Primer which when I tested seems super good to use lah.
I think I'm gonna own them sooner or later.

Anyway I've got a 12.5ml bottle of Posietint for RM125.

I took a photo right after stepping out of the shop.
I had a Love At First Sight crush right after the first swipe on my lips with Posietine.

So this is how the packaging looks like.
It's like so freaking pretty laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah omg.

The super ultra pretty barbie pink bottle !!!!plus an instruction paper.
Palm size.
It's like a nail polish bottle with the same brush. Looks like a barbie pink here .
MADLY in love with the sweet barbie pink.

Well, let's get started first ! :)

As usual, the naked face.
Powder foundation checked, eyebrows checked.
Naked lips.

So, what the Benefit girl taught me is that to paint a few strokes of the pink on your fingers first,
then only dap it onto your cheeks.
( so as to make sure that you don't get patches of pink on your cheek because
it dries out very fast so you need to blend super fast , like within 5 seconds.)

As for the lips, I just directly apply a few dots on my lips and even it with my fingers.

Photos below are my cheek and lips with Posietint .

Another shot.

Close up.

Me with Benefit's Posietint.

Posietint does stain your fingers a little, but I can totally live with it.

Below are photos when I'm having my lazy day make-up
Meaning no foundation , just eyebrows and blush ( Posietint )

Just applied.
After more than 10 hours outdoor, it still looks very pinkish !

Alright done with the photos, let's get back to business.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the pinkish tone on my face,
giving me a very natural blush!!!

Super duper long lasting ( even with sweat and oil ) ,
definitely more more more than 12 hours.
This is like the best thing already.

No shimmer.
Suitable for a everyday look .

No fragrance.
Suitable for sensitive skin I guess ?

Doesn't dry out with lips .
Seriously if you're using it as a lip tint, you'll like it because it doesn't make your lips peel !

Cons :

Kinda pricey.
But however the girl told me that a bottle of that can roughly last me about 8 months !
So I think it's kinda worth it.

Need to practice a few times to learn to apply fast
because when I first tried to apply I realized I'm not fast enough hence I got some pinky patches .

The pink is kinda sheer when using on lips .
Hence you need to like apply 2 layers to really get the pink to show up.
Other alternative,  use it with a lip concealer.

Would I repurchase ?

Good Luck (:

Tutorial : How to curl your lashes WITHOUT an eyelash curler.

So last weekend , me, my boyfriend and his dad went KL for a short getaway trip.
His dad was sooooo nice.
Keep bringing me to eat and eat and eat and shopping and shopping and shopping.

Okay back to the main point.
So , when I reach KL
I realised I forgot to bring my eyelash curler !!!!!!!!!
So I quickly googled
" How to curl your lashes without a curler "
LOL. seriously .

So I found out that there's actually a few techniques to do it.
However , according to some websites
it seems that the " Heat the spoon " technique appears to be the best among all ( The most long lasting )

So without further say, let's get started.

What you'll need

A metal spoon ( preferably a small tea spoon )

A hairdryer

1. Apply a coat of mascara on your uncurled lashes.

2. Heat a metal spoon with a hair dryer.

3. Use the back of the heated spoon to push against your eyelash so that it is curled upwards.

4. Wait for about 20 seconds.

5. If you're not satisfied with the results, heat the spoon again and repeat step 3 and 4 .

6. Reapply mascara in order to get the length and volume you desire.

And you're done !

Curl your lash without a curler.

Make up of the day :

Primer : Sephora Smootthing Primer
Liquid foundation : Estee Lauder CyberWhite EX Advanced Brightening Gel Creme Make up in 03 Cool Vanilla
Brows : Etude Drawing Brow #03 and Color My Brows 02
