Bifesta Cleansing Lotion in Sebum (Water-based make-up remover)

All along I've been using the Kanebo make-off conditioner to remove my make-up and I've really liked it. A few months ago the bottle was emptied and I started researching for good make-up remover available in the  market. However, because I am still a student, I needed something more affordable. Therefore, a good drug-store make-up remover would be perfect for me. As I was reading tones of reviews, I chanced upon this Japan brand named Bifesta. Apparently their make-up remover was quite highly raved and the reviews about it was pretty amazing. Hence, I decided to give it a go.

The Bifesta has a series of make-up remover for different skin conditions. If you're wondering which one do you choose, the picture below would be useful to help you decide.

The Moist cleaning lotion is for dry skin, Sebum is for oily skin, Bright-up are for dull skin, and lastly Age care is for ageing skin (Picture not mine, got it from Xiaxue's blog). As my skin is oilier, I chose the Sebum cleansing lotion. One of the many reasons I chose this make-up remover was because I have oily skin, and many a times oil-based make-up remover just makes my skin worst as evident by the oil spots. Therefore, this water-based cleansing lotion has no oily substances in it and after cleaning it with one or two cotton pads, my face feels super clean and non-oily. I usually use about 1-2 pumps to remove my daily make-up.

Furthermore, according to the instructions on the packaging (which I've threw away), it is a 3 in 1 kinda thing; Make-up remover, cleanser, and toner ! There is no need for double-cleansing. It means after using the make-up remover, there is no need to wash your face with a cleanser again and to apply toner. This would be suitable for girls who are slightly lazy to do the extra work especially after a long day out. But for me, I still clean my face with a cleanser and still apply my toner.

Even after at least three months after I've bought them, I only used about a quarter of it. This bottle of make-up remover can really last me quite awhile I suppose.

Where to buy?
Watson / Sasa

Price?
I remembered it was around RM30++

PROS:
Water-based make-up remover
For me I feel that the water-based ones are better than oil-based because the latter makes my skin feels greasy and oily which might contribute to my oil spots.

Very gently to the skin
When you filled your cotton pads with it and rub it against your skin, it doesn't sting your face. Plus its very moisturising and I love the after feeling of it ! It makes your skin so clean and hydrated.

Packaging looks good
Doesn't look cheap for the price your paying and I love the "pump" thingy which is so convenient to use

Affordable
For a big bottle of make-up remover (300ml), it can last me quite awhile. I feel that it is extremely worth buying it.

CONS:
'If only' it doesn't require me to use cotton pads
I would very much prefer to just pump it on my hands and rub it into my skin. But I guess only oil-based make-up remover could do this as they are not so watery.

Haven't tried on water-proof mascara
I still use my eye make-up remover for my water-proof mascara and I only use this for my face. Hence,  I'm not too sure if it would work to remove water-proof mascara.

Would I repurchase?
Definitely.

Fresh Lip Treatment (Sugar Stash)

Today's review is going to be about the Fresh Sugar Stash Lip Treatment. I've hadn't heard about it until awhile ago when I made a trip to Sephora and I was so mesmerised by the packaging of the lip balms. Therefore, I started reading reviews about it and finally decided to get it. For me I think what made them so highly raved is because these lip balms come with SPF 15, which are rarely seen in the typical lip balms.

In this Sugar Stash set, it contains 3 mini tinted lip treatment with SPF 15 which are like lip balms (Cherry , Rosé , Honey) and 3 mini Shine lip treatment which are like lip gloss (Cherry Shine, Rosé Shine , Honey Shine)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here comes the lip swatches. I'll go from the lightest to the darkest.

The bare lips

1. Sugar Honey tinted lip treatment with SPF 15 & Sugar Honey Shine lip treatment

A nude-ish looking shade

2. Sugar Rosé tinted lip treatment with SPF 15 & Sugar Rosé Shine lip treatment

A very natural-looking pinkish shade ( My favourite among the three colours)

3. Sugar Cherry tinted lip treatment with SPF 15 & Sugar Cherry Shine lip treatment

A red-ish shade, and also the most tinted one.

Where to buy?
Sephora

Price?
SGD 52

PROS:
The packaging of the lip balms are extremely gorgeous and sophisticated
The metal casing is just perfect and the screw-on cap makes it very secure.

Very moisturising
I don't really know how to describe but it feels like you've applied a very thicker layer of wax ( in a good way) which really help to moisturise the lips especially on very dry/cracking lips.

Comes with SPF 15
Thats definitely a plus point.

Smells really good
Double plus point.

The Shine lip treatment are not drying at all
Usually when I apply the typical lipgloss, my lips would peel. But this Shine lip treatment doesn't do that at all.

Love the small gift-set
I've always love trial-sized products because it allows me to try them out in different shades without having to buy the actual size one. Besides, it would make the perfect gift with the extremely lovely packaging.

CONS:
Not very affordable
Unless you have trouble looking for an extremely good lip balm for your super dry lips, I feel that the Fresh lip treatment are kinda expensive to be used on a daily basis.

Short staying power for the Shine lip treatment (Lip Gloss)
After about 2-3 hours, my lips weren't shinny anymore. I'd have to touch them up.

Melts easily?
I think I've read from some websites that say that the lip balm would melt easily if it was put under the sun. So when you bring them out just make sure you keep them in a pouch in your bag.

Would I repurchase?
No, because I think there are cheaper yet good lip balms available in the market.

NYX soft matte lip cream in Istanbul

It has been ages since I last updated my blog ! I've gotten soooo many new cosmetic products but I've just been too busy to write reviews about them!

If you let choose one and only one lipstick to use for the rest of my life, I would choose the NYX soft matte lip cream in Istanbul, which is what I'm gonna review today ! It has been my favourite lipstick for quite some time and I really really want to rave about how amazing it is today in this post.

Before I start, I just want to express how much I love the entire collection of the NYX soft matte lip cream, but I only happen to own two. But not to worry because Im gonna own ALL OF THEM one day (despite my busting collection of lipsticks) ! read here for the NYX soft matte lip cream in Antwerp which I absolutely love it, but I definitely love this shade in Istanbul more :)

PROS:
Matte appearance (oh-my-favourite)
Nothing beats a nice matte lipstick !

Although it's matte, it's not drying at all.
It's hard to find a matte lipstick that doesnt dry out your lips or accentuate your lip lines.

Long staying power
Even after meals, the lip cream stays on the entire day. For me I didn't have to touch up during the day.

Such a heart breaker kinda pink
Suitable for all skin tones, and even on those who are tan. I have a friend who's quite tan and I recommended her this lip cream, it looks amazing on her ! Also,  it doesn't make your teeth appear yellowish especially on Asian skin tones. Wear it anytime anywhere, its so wearable !

Affordable
Selling at RM26/SGD 12, I personally think that it's extremely worth it. You can grab them in Sephora !

CONS:
NONE, seriously.

Would I repurchase ?
Don't even bother asking.

Till next time xoxo.
